I’ve talked before about not publicly baring my bits, but I’m always drawn to all those sexy transparent and diaphanous styles you see around the grid. As a new blogger, I debated whether Thanksgiving eve was a good time to blog. But not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving, or if they do, not everyone cooks or has to travel, and as a newly-sponsored Tonic blogger (yay!), I’m too excited to wait to show off this lingerie set made EXCLUSIVELY for Tonic mesh bodies! Exposing those bits (just a little)

Wasn’t it just my last post when I said I rarely exposed my bits in Second Life? Well, the fashion gods must have heard me and laughed, because my heart zinged when I saw this outfit (even more so when I put it on). The cropped knit top with two big buttons is a template used by designers for a few weeks now, but what really grabbed me this time was the PLAID and the contrasting collar/cuffs… and there are even two color options (it also comes in a set of six pastels and another set of six solids). Critically, the sweater comes in Tonic, which is absolutely a must for a cut like this which exposes the bottom curve of your breasts; sadly the included pants do not, but I found both the Maitreya and the Slink Physique sizes fit my shape really well with just a little use of alphas on the legs. And wow, the way my curvy shape looks in this… enough said!

Cutaway dress hits just the right note!

I fell madly in love with this one-shoulder dress the minute I tried it on. Cutaway on both sides leaving a bare midback and front/back hanging panels, it shows ALL my curves off to amazing advantage without letting any of my private bits out there for public viewing.  This cool dress is definitely made for hitting those night spots in SL, it combines club-ready sexiness with just the right note of sophistication. Don’t like black? Choose one of the other colors on the 6-color HUD.

Snuggly and subtly sexy

Yes, there are times that I dress in that overtly sexual style so common here in Second Life. It can be great fun to really flaunt it (and I’m sure there will be future posts where I do just that). But most of the time, I prefer to retain some sense of what I’ll call elegance, being classy and sexy without throwing all my bits out there. And that’s what I love about this knit tunic with matching boots. Being a knit, it follows my curves without being skin-tight. Being an open knit, it’s not only subtle but sexy as hell with my shape visible through the fabric, especially with any kind of backlighting. Note that I did feel I needed to add some lingerie underneath, but that’s personal taste. However you go, I was told by more than one admirer, that it was fascinating to watch as I moved! Add in the fact that there are two separate 14-color multi-HUDs (one for the tunic, and one for the cable knit boots) so you can either match or contrast, depending on your taste, well, this is just a great little knit to snuggle into on those nippy days. Even better, it’s currently on sale at the Monthly10 Event!

Brrrr, cold blustery day, perfect for a lazy Sunday of SL event shopping.  I had absolutely no intention of blogging till I spotted this Hot Coffee Blues pose set at Sad November… and anyone who knows me or my blog knows how addicted I am to my coffee. Naturally, I just had to sit and have a cuppa. I’ll admit I was already pretty cozy in this large cable-knit wrap sweater and jeans outfit (even without the removable t-shirt, which is how I prefer to wear it). You can’t tell from this picture, but the outfit really sets off my curves (yes, it comes in Tonic!).  It was a perfect way to warm up from the rain at the event!

Every day, I’m inundated with IMs and notecards about special promotions and sales. And some days, it seems like everything looks the same as what I’ve seen before and already have in my closet. And then suddenly there’s an outfit so totally different, a look you’ve never considered before, that it all becomes worthwhile. That’s what happened to me on this past Fifty5 Thursday when I spotted this super cute casual little 3-piece from cae.b that not only oozed with personality, but even included my Tonic Curvy size! I almost walked away since there was no demo (one of my pet peeves in SL fashion), but for the price and those incredibly styled pant legs, I figured it was worth the risk. IMHO, this bet paid off with a big time fashion win. Granted, the curvy fit was not perfect in the waist area (my skin totally showed through), but one little click on the new and improved Tonic 4.1 HUD, and perfection! Lots of color options with this little outfit too (9 for the skirt and 6 for the tops), and all pieces can be worn separately; usually I go with green because of my red hair and green eyes, but this time, MY heart just warmed to the blue…

Connecting the dots

I finally made it over to the Fashion Dazzle November event, where it was love at first sight with this stunningly simple little black-and-white outfit.  It’s a dress template I’ve seen many times before (it’s even already in my closet), but the pattern and its packaging with matching thigh-high boots made this stand out.  And once I tried it on, I was immediately struck by the way the pattern enhances my curves. The pattern definitely brought new life to an existing style. One note: yes, the dress has Tonic sizes, but the boots do not. Using the fabulous new v4.1 body HUD, it was super easy to get the Physique size to fit my legs perfectly!

My coffee addiction

OK, I’ll confess… I’m totally addicted to coffee… morning, noon and night (and no, it doesn’t keep me up… or is that why I’m in SL so late!?! Maybe I won’t answer that one). One thing I DO know, is that nothing’s better for that first sip than this loose and comfy Morning Coffee Outfit, made EXCLUSIVELY for my Tonic mesh body.   Lots of options for it too — both the panties and bra can be black, white or nude, sheer or solid; the plaid shirt comes in lots of colors.  Even better, each piece can be worn individually! Mmmmm, I think it’s time for another cup…

Boho Chic, Tonic Style!

Nothing sets your inner flower child free like dressing the part, and this outfit from Tonic has me roaming the bohemian hangouts in SL. Since it’s made by Tonic, it’s exclusive to my body and fits like a DREAM.  The maxi skirt has 12 solid/4 floral options and the blouse has 8 pastel shades, so it’s easy to create the look that fits your individual Boho style. Right now it’s available ONLY at the Boho Culture Fair, which runs through Nov 11th. And although it paired beautifully with both flat sandals and cork wedges, for this hippie girl, barefoot was the way to go!
