Of all the decades, there are two that always stand out in my mind — the ’60s and the ’20s. Both have a lot of similarities in that they marked great social upheavals in terms of changing attitudes. Of greater relevance to this blog is that both had their own distinctive fashion trends, many styles of which are still popular today (that’s when miniskirts started). I don’t know why but I absolutely adore those gorgeous dresses and gowns from the ’20s and have a special affinity for the fringes and bellbottoms and miniskirts and John Lennon glasses and so much more from the ’60s. It’s just so much fun to dress in a modified hippie look. And in today’s troubled times, the world could certainly use some additional love and peace. It’s just groovy, man!
