It’s funny. I don’t know how other bloggers work, but I’d say that about half the time I have an idea in my head before I go out to shoot. I’ve already got a picture in my head, and then I try to capture that idea. Other times, I have absolutely nothing or something very very fuzzy. In those cases, I just pick a sim or two (sometimes it unfortunately becomes three or four) and wander, waiting for an AHA moment. This was kind of a mix of those situations… I started with an idea in my head, but it fizzled out very quickly after the first few takes were just blah, so I grabbed a new landmark and hit the road. Luckily it didn’t take long before a scene grabbed my imagination, and I suddenly heard the strains of Somewhere Out There playing in my head as this animation captured that feeling I often have of looking at a beautiful sky and wondering if one I love might be looking at the same sky at the same time. It’s a beautiful sim; I’m glad my lack of imagination pushed me into taking the time to explore. There’s still much more there to see, and I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of it in future posts.
