So the weather has been seesawing here in the Northeast, from beautiful warm spring days to blustery cold ones reminiscent of winter and fall. And although I’m admittedly an ice cream addict year-round, nothing speaks to me of summer quite as much as when the local dairy bars start taking down their shutters and getting ready for the season. I happened to drive that way over the weekend, and although it will still be several weeks before they actually open, they were hard at work putting on a fresh coat of paint and doing some general sprucing up and spring cleaning.
