So happy to be a fae, blissfully exploring new lands!  My poor human counterpart is still mired in all the problems of real life, especially when it comes to computers and showing off all the beauty of Second Life (although it seems on THIS post she figured it out all on her own, without the folks at Flickr who have been messing with it for more than a week; must be MY magic suddenly helping lol)! The scene is set, everything is ready, and there’s really nothing more I can do.  I’m kind of at that point IRL too, though in a completely different situation.  My computer/Flickr/blog issues are not resolved, which is hindering my progress as I keep expending tons of time and energy trying to fix it.  At this point, I just have to let it go — again — and get my post out.  Time just keeps ticking away, and I keep finding myself up against the wall.  And after all, tomorrow is another day, and I plan on enjoying it fully.  Hopefully, you will too!  Happy shopping!!

Fashion photo shoots can go one of two ways… incredibly quick, where everything just clicks… the setting, the pose, the lighting… all that remains is playing with the angles and other finetuning details (more lighting, body adjustments, etc.).  And then there are the ones where you struggle, and nothing seems to be right… where you change locations/backdrops, poses, and so much more.  My last post was a tough one, maybe because it was the first one back after 3 weeks of non-shoots, not to mention there are issues with my website (which still needs to be resolved, but I’m just not letting it bother me at the moment).  THIS one went incredibly smoothly… which of course makes me doubt it LOL.  But I’m learning to just go with my gut… it’s not always right, but in the end, it’s really all I have to rely on!  Enjoy!!!!

It’s been a few weeks since I blogged… for the whole week before leaving on a 2-week vacation, we had no internet, no WIFI, no TV… turned out that a lightning strike destroyed our cable line.  Just one of the hazards living in this area of Florida, which has been called the lightning capital of the US.  On top of having that quality I DON’T want, I also DON’T get much a change in seasons (though the temperatures do surely drop), and oh, do I miss it!  All those glorious colors!  To my mind, this outfit captures that gorgeous gold of fall — not TOO gold or sparkly, just golden enough — combined with the white shorts of summer… absolutely perfect for this transitional time!  It’s so good to be back!!!!

Stepping out of my persona for a bit, I do have to say that blogging fantasy is just so much fun!  The things I wear, the places I go, the companions I go there with, all the fun little accessories, etc., it’s just all so exciting while at the same time challenging to make sure that the fashion is still the star of the pic.  It takes lots of experimentation, but when a pic makes me smile, that’s when I know I have “my shot”… well, the “base” shot anyway… still lots to do with lighting, positioning, and all of that, but definitely fun and refreshing.  Definitely puts me in a better frame of mind for the human fashions lol!  Enjoy!

Signs and sayings are not usually my style, but sometimes you just got to own it, right?  Since I’m recovering from some oral surgery IRL, every little bit of attitude helps lol!  Happy shopping!

  • OUTFIT:  WILD Fashion – Zinnia.  For such a simple concept — a bow-shaped tube top, short denim shorts, optional puff-banded sleeves — this is quite a WOW outfit! I immediately knew that for me, the sleeves were NOT optional, they were an absolute.  But with so many texture choices on the top –colors, patterns, fabrics — & then again on the shorts (it’s a 180 texture HUD!), I kept falling in love with a look over & over again. IRL I’ve always hated regimented exercise.  In my younger days — before torn ligaments, broken bones, etc forced some changes on me — I loved tennis, zumba, waterskiing, etc., where you were getting exercise but having fun doing it.  Which isn’t to say I never went to the gym… I just hated doing it and was extremely inconsistent.  And honestly, that hasn’t changed, though I’m working at getting myself back into the gym through group classes since I’ve been losing weight and need to do something to tighten up that flesh.  But wow, if I looked THIS good wearing work-out clothes, maybe I’d go more often… or out to lunch before or after, showing off my bod!  Enjoy!

Like most lovers of fantasy, I LOVE dragons… I just finished a fabulous book where the premise is that truly desperate people could choose to live inside a book… every booklovers’ dream!  The primary female character’s first reaction is “can there be dragons? I LOVE dragons”, so I know I’m not the only one.  Several times she quoted the line “Here there be dragons”, which is a phrase from old mapmaking (though AI says it was actually only used once, although ancient mapmakers did draw sea monsters and dragons on blank, unexplored areas to “show danger and the limit of human knowledge.”  But dragons are an inherent part of fantasy and mythology, and the idea of riding one, well, enough said! But getting off the topic here, since I’m obviously not soaring through the sky on a dragon here, and yes, the picture got a bit busy, but still, DRAGONS!!! Sighs…

I just can’t get this song out of my head… and yes, the overall lyrics don’t match the scene at all, but the important part of beckoning? yes, that definitely fits lol…  But the fact is that this dress does quite a bit of the beckoning all on its own, don’t you think? and so much better of a title than something along the lines of Sunset and Lace (my ability with titles has sadly abandoned me of late)…
