I adore this sweater so much that I when I first put it on, I wore it almost constantly for a few weeks, changing the color once or twice together with the jeans, but the sweater stayed.  But I was so busy wearing it, I totally forgot to blog it!  How perfect, then, is it that for my last post of winter in 2026 I should wear my favorite sweater!  After this, it will be spring and summer all the way (time to move to that tanned skin lol)… and although I admit that I won’t miss winter itself in the least (which is why I moved to Florida lol!), I will definitely miss some of the clothes!!! OMG, I don’t really know why, but life has been absolutely frantic the last two days.  Prescription issues, travel plan issues, all kinds of reservation issues… all this aggravation has just completely exhausted me to the point where I fell asleep last night right after dinner and didn’t wake up till just before date time in SL… makes it kind of tough to go to bed and get a good night’s sleep!  And I won’t even start with today’s aggravation with plans set for Friday (which are still not resolved since it’s now “lunchtime” and the phone center is closed for an hour)… aaaaargh!!!  Takes a deep breath, puts my shoulders up, pastes a smile on my face, and just gets on with it.  Sighs, will I make it to the weekend without totally losing my mind? I guess time will tell…

It feels a bit strange to be back in Second Life as human.  Strange statement, I know, but once you realize that I have a fae alt who also blogs, it might start making sense.  She’s been an official blogger Fantasy Faire for years; in fact, it actually was the catalyst for Thea to be “reborn” after a long hiatus.  FF is all-consuming, because she loves to create characters from all the fabulous fashion and other items available, and then explore the Fairelands to scout photo locations.  And this year, for the first time ever, she also did the Quest.  So coming in as human has been spotty, more related to seeing my partner than anything else, but with a bit of blogging thrown into the mix.  Still, nowhere near my normal time inworld.  And now, once again, it’s all reversed until next year’s Faire.  Thea will show for weekend shopping and for her blogging requirements (which she keeps relatively minimal); I will be the one living my second life… And that’s definitely something to think about!

Sometimes that’s all it takes, isn’t it?  Just that little extra effort, that extra touch, that extra endearment, just going beyond as it were.  Everyone — and everything for that matter — craves a just bit MORE… what that “more” entails varies greatly, but going above and beyond just a wee teeny bit really doesn’t take a lot of effort, just a bit more mindfulness.  And the benefits can be, well, extraordinary.  There’s no guarantee of course, but that little extra effort doesn’t take all that much, now does it?  I am trying to remind myself of this daily, multiple times a day… and hoping that it becomes more of an automatic thing as opposed to having to be a conscious thought.  But either way, it’s worth it!!!  Happy shopping!

Life is so busy right now, and I can’t really figure out why.  Tons of doctors appointments, while we still try to figure out exactly what is going on with my leg swelling up and doing a pretty good imitation of a tree trunk, and then the prep for going away for a long weekend to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday.  Despite that and my itchy eyes (everything is blooming!), I’m loving the spring, both IRL and here on the grid… I just love what some people do with their sims (I just stumbled upon this lovely scene, following an old LM)! Well it’s been an exciting time IRL… my son just got engaged to be married!  It’s been a long time coming, I’ve been one of those annoying mothers asking when it would happen since I knew he’d bought the ring several months ago.  We absolutely adore our daughter-in-law to be; in fact, we’re going away with the two of them for my husband’s upcoming milestone birthday in a few weeks (and no, I’m not telling WHICH milestone lol)…  All this excitement has proved to be a bit of an obstacle in terms of my blogging, but now I’m back in the groove!!!! I don’t work in SL (outside of blogging, which occasionally feels like work, but I take constant breaks to prevent that from becoming routine), but sometimes it’s nice to dress in SL a bit more like I would IRL if I WAS working. It’s true fantasy since I no longer work IRL any more lol!  But work dress for me would definitely mean more sedate, nowhere near as “exposed”, yet still stylish.   From my more corporate days, there were definitely days that I needed something that I could wear from high-level meetings directly to a night out…  THIS is the perfect outfit for going straight from work to drinks and dinner with that someone special (or someone who might turn out to be)…  or just when you want to look smart and well put together no matter where you may end up.  Enjoy!

In a strange mood indeed… my expected company was due to arrive tomorrow (WAS being the operative word), and all normal activities were suspended in order to provide entertainment, etc… and they just canceled because of the problems at the airports.  So now today is chock full of things that are normally spread out over days, but in order to accommodate, etc., well, you get the picture.  And though I completely understand, I’m annoyed… partly because this is the 3rd time in a row this particular visitor has canceled last minute.  It’s family, and someone we welcome, but still…  Oh well… shakes it off and starts getting ready to deal with an errand and appointment filled day, and then off to a concert tonight with one of my (if not my top) singers… trying so hard to focus on THAT… takes a deep breath and another cup of coffee… and I’m off!

It’s been a tough winter, even down here in Florida.  We had a sustained cold in the 20s and just about every plant died (and yes, we covered them, but to no avail).  But spring is in the air, we are getting new plants ready for planting, and soon it will be green and blooming once again.  One of the things I love about SL is the immediate gratification… in two days, all the snow was gone from my land, and there is flowering lushness everywhere you look… if only it were that simple IRL!!!!
