As the summer unofficially ends, I can’t help but wonder where it went. I remember when it felt like summer would last forever, and it was filled with so many new experiences and just “stuff.” Now it speeds by and I feel like I’ve done so little. I guess that’s part of being older… life just flies by. At least we had a great weekend to end it, going to a big family party in another state, and doing some good old-fashioned “touring” around a town. Since I have immediate family down in Florida, there’s obviously been a worrisome edge to everything I do, just from the unknown and the inability to do anything. But our “summer vacation” is still to come, since now that we no longer have to deal with school schedules and the like, we have found it just makes sense to wait till the crowds lessen and the prices drop. Just a few more weeks to go… can’t wait! Till then, I’ll milk what I can out of summer’s end… 😉
