I’m not big into frilly lingerie… except at holiday time. It’s just so perfect in front of a roaring fire and all the holiday decorations! And again, I just think that Carrie’s has the absolute best when it comes to underthings that are not meant to be worn “under things”.  What I love about this frilly little set is that it definitely says holiday even when it’s not RED. It also says very clearly that it’s time for a little celebration of the two of us being together this holiday season…

Freshly fallen snow is the best! It’s been really cold here in real life, but not much snow… yet so I love that it’s all over the grid! Not to mention all the great new clothes that go along with it, like these completely revamped jeans by MOZ, which offer great textures (yes, there’s a HUD) and now fit my Tonic curves perfectly. Not only that, they come proportioned for flat OR high feet, so you can wear whatever footwear you prefer. Low-cut and belted, they pair wonderfully with all kinds of tops. I loved the look with this great little FREE jacket!

As someone who loves to do SL photography, I spend a lot of time exploring the grid. While wandering the amazing Aspen Fell sim, I hit a rainstorm. At exactly the same time, Beth Hart’s amazing song Caught Out in the Rain started playing in my ears. I decided it was a sign for this blog post, and my outfit turned out to be just perfect for a rainy day!

Wintry finery

I’ve been loading my inventory (ok, overloading might be more appropriate) with all kinds of wintry sweaters and holiday paraphernalia, but this is the first formal gown I’ve seen in a Tonic size that has that special holiday flair. It’s so beautiful, with the fur trim, the deep plunging neckline and just the right amount of hug-curving satiny fabric… love love LOVE the way this sets off my curves! Better yet, whether you choose to go for the dark palette (as I did) or the pastels, the gown comes with matching shoes and long pendant… and the HUD gives you 10 options for each one individually so if you prefer to mix and match, you can. In this aptly-named gorgeous gown, I’m ready for whatever the holidays and the entire winter season brings!

As the holidays draw ever nearer, those presents under the tree certainly generate thoughts of unwrapping those boxes. This little gem of an outfit gives unwrapping a present a whole new meaning… if only the ribbon really could be pulled lol!, but even without it’s definitely a perfect holiday look! Hunts, events and parties oh my! Such a whirlwind in SL this month!!! But it’s all worth it when you discover little gems to wear and beautifully done sims that just make you stop everything and take out your camera. This is a perfect example: I blogged a very casual version of this 2-button cropped top a few weeks ago (plaid with faded jeans), which is when I not only realized I was ok with baring the bottoms of my breasts but that I absolutely LOVED the look and how it showed my Tonic curves off to advantage. This designer, though, paired it with a jaunty, tight little skirt and incredibly sexy thigh-high boots with eye-catching details up the sides and on the foot — and they’re even in Tonic sizes (still a highly unusual find in boots). Two HUDs included: one for panties (RARELY see this, it’s such a great idea!) and one with some pattern options for the sweater.  Store is well-named for this time of year — Chaotic — and reminds me that it’s good to take little breaks when the opportunity arises… and then on to the next exciting find!

No winter blues for me

I’ve been in SL for more than 10 years, and I really don’t remember there being so many wonderful winter outfits ever before. I loved this one so much, I changed into it right there on the selling floor lol! It combines one of my favorite sleeve treatments on a sexily cropped top with a short flouncy skirt (need to show those Tonic curves!) and a scarf  (yes, a scarf! I bounced for joy lol), in a wonderful lace pattern and a wintry shade of pale blue. Add in the fact that there are matching knitted high boots (ok, the boots aren’t in Tonic, but again Physique size fits me perfectly with just a click on the alpha hud), and this girl definitely doesn’t have the winter blues!

I can’t believe it’s still only the first week of December. There are so many hunts and events going on across the grid, my inventory is exploding and I barely have time to unpack all my goodies. But this snowflake sweater with sassy little skirt just flew out of the box and into my Appearance outfit collection. Sexy, curve-hugging, adorable, seasonal… it’s got it all… even cut-outs for my thumbs!  And the way I can customize these boots to highlight the red color (laces, strings), well, I couldn’t stop myself from dancing with excitement!

December means Winterizing!

It’s December 1st, and I’ve got snow on the brain. No snow here yet for me in RL, so I’ve been busy winterizing my home here in SL. Yesterday’s  Fifty5 Thursday was a flurry of deals I couldn’t resist, from wintry outfits that include Tonic sizes to this fabulous bench.  Winterizing is a tough job, but at least I’ve been looking good and feeling comfy in my hoodie, sweatpants, and belly-baring tank that shows off my Tonic curves. And even though each piece is a separate purchase, it’s a great buy from Sweet E’s since each item has it’s own HUD in what I consider Christmas colors — white, black, red and green, so you can easily wear individual pieces with other things as well. Let it snow!
