Mother’s Day is such a strange kind of holiday. When you’re a little kid, it’s a really big deal. When you’re a bigger kid, it’s a roll-your-eyes kind of thing. And when you’re a way-bigger kid, out on your own, it’s either “Oh, s**t, I forgot to call my mom or “Hey, I’m talking to my mom, it’s Mother’s Day.” And now that I no longer have a mom, it’s more like “I wish I could still talk to you, especially now on Mother’s Day”.
