I just learned that in medieval times, there was no Christmas per se.  Instead, there were 12 nights of revelry following the winter solstice.  Christmas as we know it didn’t truly show up until a lot later, gaining popularity in the Victorian era.  So, to be historically correct then, this pic is not a Christmas one, just post-winter-solstice lol!  Happy Twelfth Night from medieval times (and Happy New Year from me lol)!

I love the holidays and look forward to them like everyone else, but I’m already reaching that saturation point where I just wish they were over already… the music is wonderful the first 20 or 30 times you hear it, singing and dancing a little along with it, but by the 500th time, it’s enough already!  I love the twinkly holiday decorations, especially ones done with style and taste, as opposed to haphazard quantity, but honestly, those blow-ups have just got to go! So many houses where I live have crowded blowup scenes going on, and honestly, it’s just so tacky.   That said, I try to avoid overload myself… I mean that one extra candy cane can just tip it over the edge lol!
