As we all prepare to say our final farewells to this year’s Fantasy Faire, I’ve found myself thinking about why I love this event so much and wait so impatiently for its re-emergence. In addition to all the shopping (which admittedly is a HUGE draw for a shopaholic blogger like me), it’s the sheer creativity. And yes, there’s a lot of that in the objects for sale, but the biggest part of it are the Fairelands themselves. I am completely boggled by both the mental and physical energies that I can only imagine must go into it. To have a vision and then create it on such a huge scale? Amazing! The fact that all of it is dedicated to the cause of fighting cancer is also amazing… the amount of RFL dollars that are raised is staggering. One of my favorite things to do (yes, after shopping!) is to go off the beaten path, because every region has those little hidden areas where you find the most awesome little details… like the glowy-eyed swamp monsters I stumbled over in Canny Valley. And this year, for the very first time after all my years of FF blogging, I decided to actually try the Quest (rather than just talk about trying it); sadly my time at the Faire was so limited this year due to RL (aaargh, I HATE that, so unfair!), that I only just got started… (in my mind, that scroll I’m tossing has all the answers and locations I need to fill the Quest lol). In my first day of questing, I’ve already stumbled upon so many amazing little areas that I’d never seen; I can only wonder how many more little hidden treasures I’ve missed over the years. Oh well, sighs, lesson learned… The fact though is that it’s been another awesome Faire, but sadly, Fantasy Faire 2026 will now end at midnight on May 13th… one more day! (one guess what I’ll be doing lol)

- Skin: Petrichor– Atharani, worn in Afralia. There are simply not enough superlatives to describe Petrichor skins. This skin series for both male & female avatars is definitely no exception! Featuring 2K (2048) high-definition textures, materials & parts, Atharani is a totally unique look in 30 absolutely stunning textures, available as a fatpack (for female or male), a 3- 5- or 10-custom pack, or by individual skin tone. - Wings: Wild Rose Wings – R3. After first seeing these wings, I admittedly went a bit crazy in this store… so many fabulous wings (& a lot more besides)! These glorious gold wings (flexi & glowy) are a 100% RFL DONATION, & are available only at the Faire store in Moonfleet Bay, located HERE.
- Staff & Circlet: Schelm – Seiryu Staff & Tiara. Both of these unisex items from the Seiryu set (all of which are sold separately) are just stunning, with both featuring HUDs to customize the looks (see the Ads below). Admittedly, my pic does not do these scrolls justice (see the Ad below), but I love these so much that I just HAD to include one. 100% custom mesh, textures, & materials, this set includes decor versions & many different BENTO animated hold versions. - Location: The Faireland of Canny Valley. The ridges around this holler are the oldest in the world, blunted by weather and time. It is a beautiful but harsh place, a place not meant to be settled by man, but settled it was. The folks who came to live here know things aren’t quite right, not as they seem, and have found ways to protect themselves and their kin from the things that lurk in the night, in the pines, and beneath the cold, black dirt of the mountain.
