Sometimes as good as you think Part One is, you need (or want) a remake.  Maybe it’s just a tweak here and there; or maybe it’s a complete do-over. Whichever end of the spectrum it is, or wherever it may fall inbetween, one of the many beauties of Second Life is that you always have the ability to easily remake yourself and your surroundings, or even your entire life.  As a blogger, I’m constantly changing my hair and my skin; I have two bodies and multiple heads (wow, sounds monstrous in a sentence lol). But generally speaking, once my shape is set for a head or a body, that’s it… a tiny tweak here or there, but an overhaul? Never… until now.  Admittedly my Abbi head was very new… I had just fallen in love with her and gotten her where I wanted her when I was swept off my feet by the next Tonic head… but now that I went back, I found that I wasn’t quite as happy as I had thought lol. So here she is, Abbi Part Deux… I’m re-smitten, ready to take on the world!  Maybe by motorcycle???  Who knows… anything is possible!  😉

• Outfit:  S&B Fashion – Flirty Cowl Top w/ Jeans, includes the high heels too!  The jeans are skinny & cuffed, but what makes this outfit is the top… it just so different! The front is high & then the bottom kind of loops around to the back, up to a tie, leaving the sides & back open (I tried to show it in the picture since it’s so hard to describe)… so sexy without being too overt.  Sized for Tonic (top only), Belleza F/I/V, Slink H/P, Maitreya, TMP, & Classic. • Head: Tonic – Abbi is one of two new bento heads that Tonic has recently introduced. I just went back to Abbi & created a whole new shape for her, so I’m deep in the midst of an identity crisis lol! But I’m just loving this look… to me, she’s not what I consider a classic beauty.  If I had to put it into words, I’d say she’s more striking than beautiful, with a very unique & individual appearance, & I really REALLY like that in a world full of beautiful people.

Sometimes it’s really hard to put a feeling, a thought, into words. It’s why the Beatles’ lyrics to Something In The Way are, to me at least, among the most beautiful and memorable ever written.  And it also applies in a completely different way to design… you know you love it, you find it irresistible, but you can’t necessarily put your finger quite on the reason why.  It’s just something, or maybe it’s just the way a lot of somethings add up together.  It doesn’t really matter, but THIS something is gorgeous, and makes me feel that way too… Grab a demo and see if it does the same for you! 😉

• Outfit:  YOU by GeMyles – Theresa Lace & Boots. Now that I have my Slink body, YOU is rapidly becoming one of my favorite lines for sexy little dresses with incredible footwear. Admittedly, some of the fully sheer textures are a bit too revealing for me, but oh, when there’s an outfit like Theresa, I can’t wait to wear her! She’s so fresh & beautiful, I added absolutely except freckles (see below), because I just feel naked without them!  Today I’m wearing her in Cashew Browless, but the full range of dark & light tones is available at the Skin Fair March 8th – 24th.

I started a new job this week. It’s part-time, EXACTLY what I was looking for (yay!), and just 5 minutes from my house.  It’s almost as if my job wish came true, it’s such a match to my checklist of what I wanted. This week I only did a fraction of what will be my normal hours, but after not working outside my home for several years, wow, the weekend feels wonderful! I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m living for the weekend (been there, done that, thank you very much!), but I will admit that today all I want to do is lie around and daydream.  Unfortunately, this girl this has lots of blogging to work on… not to mention taxes to prepare on my OTHER business… SOOOO happy we don’t have to prepare taxes in Second Life lol!!!!  Well, enough chatter… I’m just going back to daydreaming now, all about all the wonderful things in both lives!  😉

I’m a lucky blogger in that I’ve managed to arrange things so that I’m never told what to blog… yes, I have minimums to meet for every sponsor within certain time frames, but other than that, I choose what to blog.  Sometimes that’s a problem because I like so much it’s hard to choose; before I got my Slink Physique body, sometimes not enough was available to fit my body; other times, not enough falls into my taste range.  And sometimes I really love an outfit but the body (the template) is the same as one I’ve blogged before.  That’s when I have a bit of an inner struggle, to blog or not to blog, but if the designer’s interpretation of the basic body is completely different, and the textures are to die for, then the outfit is a completely new experience and truly deserves to be blogged.  And that’s the case with today’s dress… yes, I blogged the “template” previously for a dress I absolutely adored… and now this one has swept me away with a totally different look and feel.  Neither one is better than the other… each is marvelous in its own right.  Today’s dress is available in both black and silver; the silver just swept me away… I tried to capture its sheen, but it’s one of those things you really need to see for yourself… as for me, well, right now moonlight and martinis seem like a pretty excellent combination to me! 😉

One Second Life Halloween, many years ago, I dressed up as a fairy. To my surprise and delight, it was SL-life-altering… I loved having wings so much that I ended up creating an alt and role-playing as fae. Whereas I myself remained human, my alt was a magical creature of the woodlands — white hair, pale skin with glamorous facial tattoos, elven ears, and oh, a whole wardrobe of beautiful wings and medieval/fantasy clothes. She even had her own treehouse home that she shared with her elven prince (my partner’s alt).

Well, those days are long gone (I’ve been in SL now for more than 12 years!), but these absolutely stunning BENTO wings brought those wonderful memories of living a true fantasy life rushing back.  The colors when the light hits them are truly magical… perfect for playing tag with the butterflies and indulging in flights of fancy!!!! 😉

This must be my week for troubled shoots, but only because I keep getting in my own way.  Once again, I put together a look I love pretty easily, although I admittedly had some difficulty choosing which color set to wear.  I  even bought a special pair of shoes (which I ended up not even using)!  Then I found a new sim and spent quite a bit of time shooting at three different locations with three different poses, loving the results at one (which, of course, did not even show shoes because of tall grass lol).  Was going through all my shots to pick my windlight when I received a new release of the most awesome little slouch boots that were just perfect for the outfit!  I didn’t know whether to close my eyes and pretend I hadn’t noticed, and just go with the shot, or redo.  Never being one to take the easy road, this morning I went back to the sim, found a new location, and did a whole new shoot.  Once again, to me the results are worth it, but why oh why, does it have to be so tough this week????  Sighs, singing the blogger blues… Enough with February… next month’s shoots will be smoother, that’s a promise to myself!  We’ll see if I keep it lol!  😉

• Outfit:  1 Hundred – Dearest Cardi Set, which includes the button-down cardigan, adorable plaid mini-skirt, & matching panties (I LOVE when a designer thinks to include panties, it makes life so much easier).  It really is adorable without crossing over into “too cute” territory. The eyelet details on the shoulders, neckline & bustline of the sweater totally deserve mention, they’re outstanding & add so much dimension!  In 6 color options for just 150L each or if you can’t decide (it’s REALLY tough lol; I’m wearing the Peach set), the fatpack is just 600L. • Pants:  MOZ Designs –   SNEAK PEEK! Slouch Leather Boots, so cute that I threw away a whole blog post because they made the whole outfit look that much better.  Awesome with a short skirt like this; will look equally great with leggings! • Skin:  7 Deadly s[K]ins – Bregje, worn in Cashew Browless. It’s a good thing you don’t have to be able to pronounce the name of a skin to be able to wear her, because Bregje is another freckled stunner!  You have to wait a few days for her since she’s making her debut at The Hipster Fair in March, but I just couldn’t wait to wear her.
