I know we’re almost in February with spring close behind, but with so much snow and cold everywhere you look, I’m still happily romping in my holiday findings!  Luckily, they’re all still available and just perfect inworld and out (well, not that you can find them for real life, but you get my drift lol)…

• Outfit: Petrichor in collab w/ Ersch – Jainara Bodysuit.    Sized for a whole range of bodies (see the ad below),  Jainara includes the bodysuit & full-body gemchains (I’m not wearing the legchains, which you can also see in the Ad below).  Choose from 10 single colors, 6 40-color HUD Packs, or a MegaPack of all the different HUD packs (I’m actually wearing a print from the Advent 2025 pack, also available in store). The wonder of playing fantasy in SL rarely fails to amaze me… it’s not just the clothes (though admittedly clothes like this are so exceptional, they definitely play a big part!) … it’s not just the wings (though again, that’s a large part of WHY I play as fae!)… it’s the mental side of the totally different characters I create.  Although I also love being human, and creating a variety of looks/attitudes/situations, it’s just not at the same level as the creative process of BEING a fantasy character.  Maybe I make too much of it, but creating and getting into character is just so much larger… a bit like an actor getting into her role though obviously not to the same depth or intensity…. But it definitely is addictive!!!  Enjoy! and don’t be shy about saying hello if I run into you when I’m flitting out and about!

I wish, I wish, I wish… how many times do we all say that to ourselves?  There are countless fairy tales about it, all with the lesson behind it that you should be careful what you wish for.  I’m a fae, I should listen.  And still…

Well, right now at this very moment, I’m wishing that everything is resolved with this blog so that I can once again concentrate on living my fae dreams in my fantasy fae world… I’m starting to look for a new home (so happy! Ceja is giving me her tier allowance!!!)  I wish… I mean I hope… I mean I PLAN to find exactly what I’m picturing in my mind’s eye… and then have all the fun creating it!  May all our wishes come true (as long as they’re good safe wishes, that is lol)…

• Outfit:   Petrichor in collab w/ Ersch– Celesia.  I can always recognize a P+E collaboration, & with good reason… they’re always stunning, always a gorgeous fantasy look, always exuding sexiness (sometimes a bit too much for this fae lol!)  Not quite sure how to describe this particular magnificent fashion creation, you’ll just have to look for yourself; I’ll just say that the skirt can be worn short or long, & that it’s sized for a whole range of bodies (see the ad below).  Celesia is available in 10 single colors, in any of 4 HUD-controlled 40-texture packs based on fabric (I chose silk), all of which include options for the metals as well as turn on/off for all elements, or as a Megapack with all options included.  AVAILABLE at the mainstore.  Demo available.

This may very well be my last post for the summer… the heat down here has simply fried my brain, and we just can’t take it anymore.  So we’re heading north for a bit (not that it’s been any cooler up there, but at least it will be a DIFFERENT heat, in a woodsy hilly environment (and then a city one) rather than this flat land of palm trees and limited shade.  If you can’t take the heat, and all that, so we’re off! You may still see me before we leave, but if not, see you in September!

I guess it’s just nature to always want what’s out of reach.  People take their lives in their hands to explore the depths of the ocean; and I’m sure those below (yes, I’m saying “those below” lol) yearn to explore the land.  The grass is always greener and all that…  Be that as it may, I do love putting on my fins and being a mermaid in SL, finding and exploring underwater gems that others have created.  It’s a whole new world down there, and it’s so much fun to design a totally different kind of fantasy look.  To me, this set of skins is perfect for merwear, but it works for all kinds of fantastical creatures…

Equality.  What a loaded word these days.  Sometimes I wonder if it’s truly a fantasy, that everyone starts off on an equal playing field, where only the best minds, best athletes, best artists, best of ANYTHING can rise and excel in their own field, gaining influence but NOT control.  Whether it’s true or not, intentional or not, to me that is part of the essence of Steampunk… where even fae and other non-human species enjoy the same freedom and equality as everyone else.  Perhaps it’s only a dream, but for me at least, it’s a GOOD dream…
