I LOVE FANTASY FAIRE!  I just can’t get enough, between wandering the 22 lands (22!!!!!), each one with its own distinct personality and hidden secrets, shopping (yes, admittedly it’s probably what I do most), the events, looking at everyone else and the characters they create (though I have to say I get a kick out of the “regular” humans who IMHO always look a bit like they woke up in OZ lol!), even the radio!   I actually keep Fantasy Faire radio on at my home so I can always know what’s going on even if I can’t actually be there (putting together looks or sets for blogging can take quite a bit of time).  The Faire is open ONE MORE WEEK!  The gates close on May 7th… eek!!!! The beauty of SL is to try on different looks or, in my case, totally different characters.  Each fae I become is way more than just changing an outfit… I transform into someone new, with different attitudes.  It’s a fascinating way to live, but so much a part of who I am, as a fantasy being living my life (or should I say lives?) in this fantasy world of ours… Each one has that touch of magic…  here’s how I created this amazing new me!

I generally think of being “fiery” as being angry or vindictive or deep in warrior mode, but in this skin, I’m realizing that “fiery” can also mean super-charged! I am somewhat befuddled today, however, and so many thoughts are tumbling through my fae brain without any coalescing enough enough to share… so I’m just going to go live in my new skin for a while, take advantage of all that energy and just stretch my wings, fly away and explore all that’s new, all that’s changed, and all I love that thankfully is still there, awaiting my pleasure…  Enjoy!

Stretches languorously… mmm who am I today?  That’s one of the things that I love so incredibly much about fantasy fashion… unlike “human” dressing where if you’re lucky you get a “feeling” or what I like to think of as an “attitude” when you put on the clothes, with quality fantasy fashion (any by “fashion” I mean more than JUST the clothes but also all the accessories that heighten and deepen your look)  you BECOME someone new… it’s almost like creating a character in a book.  As the puzzle pieces fit together to create a wholly unique image, backstories emerge, and life’s parameters and goals and desires come right along with it.  Well, you may question that or even scoff, but maybe that’s why I blog… I love effectively giving birth to a new fae… she may be related to others who came before and who will come after…  but the details will always be hers and hers alone.   I do love roleplay, even though my roles tend to be short ones lol!!!

I’ve been sitting here on my cloud, wishing on a star (whose power I’ve now captured in my orb!) to be able to get back inworld.  My poor human has been so sick that inworld time has been severely limited but finally, FINALLY!!!, I made it in for just a few hours of fae time (not to mention fae shopping lol)…  And I have accomplished so much with my limited time, it’s sooooo very good to be back!  Beats my wings with joy, and runs off to see what the new year has already brung!

AAARGHHHH… aggravation!  Even as a fae I can’t always avoid all those modern-day woes of computer issues…  suddenly inserting images directly into this blog has become a nightmare, taking HOURS.   So glad that I only visit that modern world occasionally as opposed to having to actually LIVE there…  Tosses my head, stretching my wings, gazing up into the sky and taking a few deep breaths to relax and soak in the beauty of nature all around me.   Reminding myself that I can’t afford to get lax and inattentive… you never know what dangers or opportunities may suddenly appear, and it’s usually not in the direction you’re focused on.  (Hence those suddenly appearing and extremely frustrating computer issues, since there has been absolutely ZERO focus on computer maintenance of late… bad bad human lol)…   Well I’m off for a much needed shopping break… Fae blessings to you!

I may not be a fan of the more macabre side of Halloween, but I am constantly amazed at so much of the creativity I see around me.  Some of the builds are so fabulous, my shoots take forever because I get so lost in the experience and just spend hours exploring…  And the events!!!  For a fae like me to be able to wander at an event and not draw looks because of my skin, my wings, my horns… well, it’s definitely an interesting experience to fit in so easily outside of a role play region!  One event that should definitely be on your DON’T MISS list is the 7th Annual Trick-or-Treat Lane! Grab your treat bags and your favorite ghouls to explore this year’s witches’ brew themed venue. 56 designers have been conjuring some amazing creations and special gifts just for you! Note that some of the trick-y ghosts hid some of the free treats in the booths too! The event is from Dark Passions, and runs from Oct 7 – Nov 1, 2022; it’s awesome Halloween fun for humans & non-humans alike!!!
