With Valentine’s Day looming up ahead, everyone starts thinking about their relationships, past & present.  I remember how lonely it can be to be alone… I’m among the fortunate ones to be in a solid relationship both inworld & out, but even so there are plenty of times where I feel like my heart is trembling in my hands, nervous and afraid at being exposed.  It’s just such a part of the human existence, I suppose.  Love makes the world go round, and sometimes you just feel out of sync, especially when life throws you a curve (which it always does, especially when things are running smooth and you least expect it).  It can be very scary to give someone your heart; you just never know how they’ll treat it…  Trust comes hard, especially once you’ve been hurt.  But oh, it can be so worth it!  And on that note, I am off to sit in the sunshine…

Ahhh spring!  It’s when life resurrects itself, bursting forth with new energy.  That’s not always easy to do, so sometimes Mother Nature asks the light fae — like me! — to help spread new life, providing some much needed warmth and energy to stimulate new growth.  Winter has its beauty, but nothing can compare to the riotous beauty of spring in all its colors!  I’m the Green Goddess of Spring! OK, so it’s looking like the end of winter isn’t so far off.  Here in SL, it ends later this week on my estate (yes!!!) and it should end relatively soon here IRL (at least where I live), though of course “relative” is one of those vague words that can end up meaning just about anything lol!  That said, I’m opening a bottle and toasting to its end… and continuing to toast until it’s gone! Mornings.  I’m definitely not a morning person, as everyone who’s ever known me knows very very well.  (That, and don’t call me when Jeopardy is on lol!)  I do prefer seeing morning break from the other side, where it’s the end of the day rather than the beginning, but I’ll admit that THAT happens less and less often… the older I get, the more I just seem to fall asleep wherever I am… but that’s ok, I get to see all hours, all weather, all everything, here on the grid…  and in a lot of ways, it’s a lot easier if not quite as satisfying as seeing those streaks start across the sky and then reach the point where they hit my face dead on… that first warmth and brightness is delicious… but not enough to get up for every morning (maybe that’s part of what makes it so very delicious is that I experience it so rarely???)…  Well, I’m up today, and time’s a wastin’ as I sit here and prattle on…  Need to  go do some shopping!!!  Enjoy!

Losing sight of winter’s beauty

Enough already! I don’t care what the calendar says, I’m done with winter!  After my miserable trip up north to single digit temps and the flu (my husband caught COVID; we barely got to spend time with the grandkids we were so sick), I thought I was done, but here I am in FLORIDA and it’s 40 degrees… yes, that may be warm to those of you up there in snow country, and it’s definitely preferable to what’s happening out there in California, but it’s just not the temps we are equipped for here.  The problem with winter is that it feels so very long.  Yes, it’s a beautiful season (as they all are, in their own way), with the sparkling snow and ice, but I’m at the point where that beauty is being lost on me… I say enough is enough, and it’s time for it to warm up and be a proper spring! We’re having a vote at my SL estate as to when winter should end… I think we should have that IRL too as well!!!  And although I voted to keep the snow for a few more weeks here on the grid, I vote for it leave IRL today!!! Who’s with me???

I’ve been sitting here on my cloud, wishing on a star (whose power I’ve now captured in my orb!) to be able to get back inworld.  My poor human has been so sick that inworld time has been severely limited but finally, FINALLY!!!, I made it in for just a few hours of fae time (not to mention fae shopping lol)…  And I have accomplished so much with my limited time, it’s sooooo very good to be back!  Beats my wings with joy, and runs off to see what the new year has already brung!

This is my last post of the year, and how could I end without at least one pic in a traditional Christmas or New Year’s setting?  Being me, I naturally chose the Sexy Santa outfit over the classy evening gown.  I mean how could I resist?  As much as I adore getting all dolled up in formal evening wear, this is the one and only time of year you can walk around in this kind of garb and no one thinks twice about it.  With time for just one more pic, the choice was relatively easy.  Especially when an outfit is as cute and sexy as this one…  though I also couldn’t resist putting myself in a not-so-sexy situation lol!   So Ho Ho Ho and Be Merry and all that… Happy Holidays, stay warm, and I’ll see you next year!!!

Searching for that Holiday Spirit

With all the turmoil and hate in the world, not to mention the never-ending barrage of commercialization, it can be hard to find (and hold onto) that joyous and inclusive feeling of the holidays.  And don’t get me wrong… I LOVE all the shopping and the beautiful holiday and wintry sims to explore… it’s more in the real world, that sometimes tends to seep even into our idealized fantasy world.  That spirit of the holidays just gets lost all too often behind all the trappings and yes, even the politics.  So I’m out there trying to shine my tiny little light in the darkness, helping to find that elusive spirit of the holidays, wherever it may be…

This will be my last fantasy post this year… throws a huge handful of fairy dust, wishing you the best of the holidays and a happy transition to the new year!!!
