Nowadays, it’s rare that I’m surprised because I’m always asked to provide the dreaded list, while the fact is, if it’s something that I REALLY want, I’ve already gone out and bought it. Frankly I’d rather just be told here’s X amount of money; go out and spend it; which, when you come to think of it, is what gift cards are all about. Well, it’s taken a while, but I’m beginning to understand why some bloggers don’t name their images and their posts, but just number their looks. Although I’ve never ever found it difficult to get started putting a look together, some days (or nights), it’s just hard to get started with something to say, let alone title an image or a blog.  And then suddenly it hits you… maybe a song comes on the stream, or a stray memory triggers something, and you know what you want to say.  It may not be perfect, but hey, it’s just a blog, right? The point is to show you these awesome items that I’ve found… and these really are awesome, aren’t they?  And while I was trying to show them to you, I ran into HUGE issues with the new WordPress editor and trying to embed my image from FlickR.   Not what I needed this morning!  Now to get back to my daydreaming… 😉

I’ve been off tattoos for a little while now; not really sure why. But wow, this tattoo from Juna has me back in tattoo-world big-time. The gorgeous colors and the stunning image… well, let’s just say that I built this entire look around the tat… I even considered going full jungle setting to play off the lion, but felt that would have been going too far, and to be honest, I’ve never really enjoyed scouting locations dressed in my scanties lol… (you can’t see it in this pic, but the back of this outfit is quite, well, “scanty”)… Not too bad to find waiting under the tree though, is it?  😉

Oh my, this outfit by Tonic is named so perfectly! It’s caused me so much Trouble in so many ways lol! First, I spent a ridiculous amount of time deciding which color to wear, because I kept liking each one more than the next… and then because the adorable little shrug has its color set separately, I kept debating whether to have it match the darker color of the dress or look totally separate. Don’t even get me started on the HUD for the shoes where you set the color of the main body and the bow separately! Then it looks so amazing on, well, let’s just say it garnered some attention and several IMs asking me where I’d gotten it. I love so many things about snowflakes, but one thing is certain — they can be soooo bright when the sun hits them! Certainly not an earth-shattering observation, but one that may have me looking for my sunglasses next time… maybe I can find a Christmas pair among all the holiday goodies in Second Life?

I’ve been so inspired by what some other bloggers are doing in terms of setting up entire room scenes that I decided to give it a try. Of course, since I’m primarily a fashion blogger, I still had to put myself in the middle of it all lol! I was lucky enough to have found the sim Northern Lights, which is open to all — including rezzing! — even the houses (at least for now, since the sim is ALMOST complete but not quite).  I was able to find a house that completely fit my purposes — the room was the right size, the right angle, and I was able to easily derender the existing fireplace in order to replace it with my own so that nothing in the set was there beforehand other than the walls and windows, which clearly showed a beautiful snowy landscape outside.  Creating this scene was fun to do, it was extremely challenging, and I’ll admit that it’s definitely no accident that I’m having a martini!!!  But all for a good cause, because ALL the room decor that I used is from the SL Christmas Expo 2018, which runs through Dec 9th — all of it with items donated by designers with 100% of the proceeds going to Relay for Life! — and is therefore part of the fight against cancer!

There’s so much going on here, let’s first talk about ME and what I’m wearing (here’s a close-up because I’m a little lost in that room!!!):

 

  • Outfit: GeMyles Couture – Ayanna Denim Checks, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this dress (haven’t taken it off for days lol)! Hugs snugly in ALL the right places, so many little details like the slight openings up the arms where it’s buttoned. Includes the triple leather choker in both black & white (I couldn’t decide, so I wore both & staggered them lol) in regular & RLV versions, & these incredibly sexy little boots with steel straps & heels.
