So winter is definitely getting me down. On top of that, I can barely even watch the news any more. Dreams of sailing away and leaving it all behind are taking over… and that got me thinking about how things look from the BACK.  I spend so much time thinking about how things look from the front, and how to show it to best advantage.  Just as in life itself, the fact is that sometimes the best angle is from behind…  😉

Just like in Real Life, some times an outfit looks and feels different on your body than it does “on the hanger”… this is definitely one of those times. When I first saw it, I thought it was pretty… when I actually put it on, I was blown away. I can’t seem to find the words to explain how it makes me feel, and I won’t even attempt to figure out why. Maybe it’s the fit, maybe it’s the style, maybe it’s the hair, maybe it’s the combination… who knows, and frankly, who cares.  All I know is that I’m getting lots of positive comments about my outfit and I just haven’t felt like changing… which is definitely NOT good for a blogger lol!  Definitely one that will be worn till it needs to go into the wash!!! 😉

Dreams of Spring

I have spring on the brain. It’s still so far away, and right now, it’s bitter cold outside with snow in the forecast, but I just can’t stop myself from dreaming about that freshness, that hint of warmth…  Sighs… at least here on the grid I can dress the part and easily find spring or even summer without having to hop a plane… And this dress! these boots! from different events, but definitely loving the range of colors they come in… When dreaming of spring, nothing is better than to be pretty in pink!!! OK, I love snow, I love winter, but seriously, enough is enough. I’ve had a cold now, or winter allergies, or whatever for WEEKS now (all I know is that I’m going through tissues at an alarming rate) and it’s time… I’m ready for spring!!!  Of course the calendar doesn’t agree with me, and there’s tons of winter weather ahead, but at least I have a few days in Florida to look forward to next month when I go down for my mom’s birthday. Right now I’ll cozy up to the fire, stamp my little foot, and scream ENOUGH to the universe as it continues to give me more snow and freezing winds… but I’m looking so good doing it here in SL (much better than in RL lol)… 😉

Heart Full of Wishes

From lazing at home to party girl to Parisian model… it’s only the first week of January, and already I feel like I’m living so many lives, at least from a fashion perspective!  My heart is so full of wishes for the new year…  and this picture captures it all!  Here’s wishing some of them come true!!!! 😉

Now that the holidays are over, the big question arises — when do you start putting away all the holiday items? Is it already time to pack up all the Christmas items? And for those of us who winterized our land, when do we melt all that snow and go to spring? Personally, I might be just about ready to do the first, but I’m nowhere near the second… seems I just finished getting my land how I wanted it… I’m not ready to start tearing it all down again lol! As for all that Christmas stuff, yup, it might be time to start putting it back in boxes (even the squirrels agree)… 😉

National Hangover Day

Some days I just want to hang out and not even leave the house.  Maybe I have stuff to do — go through boxes, sort inventory (there’s a lot of that in blogging!), landscape, chat, do some home decor — or maybe I just want to sit and think and recover from a tough night before.  And I almost fell out of my chair when I heard that Jan 1st is National Hangover Day… but I DO understand it… I even shared in it a bit this year, with one too many martinis at a party that started about an hour too early on New Year’s Eve.  Whatever the reason for staying in, this is one of those perfect little outfits when all you have in mind is some time in front of the fire with a nice cup of tea or coffee or whatever while you let your mind and body recover for just a little while…  Hope your new year is off to a nice easy start! 😉
