Hot mulled wine seems to be a big thing in parts of Europe… It was everywhere we went in Europe last month, which was a very good thing considering how cold it was and how insufficient my coat was at keeping the cold at bay (hey, I live in Florida; my outerwear — and the ability to carry it on a plane — is limited lol!). Personally, I still prefer hot apple cider, which I guess is more of an American thing, but one of the friends I was traveling with went wild over the wine! And it certainly does warm you up AND give you that relaxed sultry feeling that you can only get from red wine… wish I had some here before I go out in our version of cold (which is definitely NOT what I used to experience up north) and do more shopping!
