If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my life (and hopefully I’ve learned more than this one thing lol) is that sometimes it all burns down (either intentionally or not) and you have two choices… either sit there and lament, or dance in the flames.  And sometimes, it’s just good to feel the heat… A bit too philosophical for me today, but that’s the mood I’m in lol! Fall is officially here, even in Florida!  It never truly feels fall-like to me here because we don’t get that brilliant change of color in the trees or that crunch of leaves underfoot, but I am having to wear a sweater and long pants when walking the dog at night.  Thankfully I can still experience all of that (well, not the crunchy leaves but then I’m comfy inside at my desk lol) here on the grid…  And as soon as we find that perfect pumpkin, the carving will begin!!!  Happy fall and happy shopping!

I’m not really a dark fae, I lean much more towards the side of light and nature.  But I definitely have my moments!!!  Then again, as a “true” fae, someone who lives this role almost every single day, I’m not a real fan of Halloween.  All these humans donning all these kitschy costumes and are all just so cute in their little pretend fantasies.  But THIS outfit, THIS is true fantasy.  This is not a costume, this is a full character, one who could easily live year-round, going around spreading her lovely darkness.  LOVE IT! I wish, I wish, I wish… how many times do we all say that to ourselves?  There are countless fairy tales about it, all with the lesson behind it that you should be careful what you wish for.  I’m a fae, I should listen.  And still…

Well, right now at this very moment, I’m wishing that everything is resolved with this blog so that I can once again concentrate on living my fae dreams in my fantasy fae world… I’m starting to look for a new home (so happy! Oh No! My website migration keeps failing!!

When I posted this pic to Flickr, this headline was true… then I finally got my migration to work by coming up with a workaround: I got my OLD hosting company to upgrade my storage on a prorated basis for the one week of hosting I had left, for the whopping cost of $2.88!!! Best couple of dollars I’ve spent in a looooong time! After that, the migration went smoothly. Then came switching the domain from the original host to the new one… not quite as simple as it should have been, since the only support on the new host is an AI, and as I’m quickly learning, if you don’t ask your questions exactly the right way, you don’t always get the answer you need. All that said, after a week of emotional ups and downs (and one minor meltdown when I thought I’d have to abandon this blog after 8 long years of dedication), I’m back up and running. I’m sure there will be some kinks (probably a lot of them), but those can be figured out. Anyway, I’m back to shopping, back to posting, and back to blogging! Woo-hoo, no more tears!!!

Living in medieval times wasn’t all gowns and chivalry.  As in most cultures, there were a lot of “little people” who did all the work to support the lifestyle of those in power.  For some reason, the old TV show ‘Queen for A Day‘  kept popping into my brain when I saw this outfit… and thus the idea for this pic was born.  The creative process can be a strange one indeed! I love dragons! And they’re so popular in fantasy literature, with descriptions ranging from wise, loyal, fierce, even playful… but nowhere have I have ever read that they sleep so much!!!  Of course, it would be MY dragon to break the mold… sighs… not much I can do but wait… you’re supposed to let sleeping dogs lie… I suppose the same can be said about dragons (not that I have much choice, her skin is too thick to pinch and she’s deep into the dragon dreamworld!
