I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again, but the creativity that abounds in Second Life constantly amazes me. I’m fortunate enough to now be blogging for a designer who likes to create some very, VERY original things. When I first unpacked this hat and put it on, I was just mezmerized… yes, it’s a witch’s hat, but one so different and so unique, with the face, and gaping mouth, and little nymph who was obviously swallowed and captured (you can see her move around a bit, and glow stronger), and emits green particles that are (and this is EXTREMELY important to me) NOT annoying.  It’s amazing to wear, but did take a little thinking to play it off perfectly. Tonic’s new group gift, Creepy Hands — especially paired with the extra-long pointy Bento nails — really took it to the max I thought. I had the green skin and costume already, and voila! Spellbinding!!! 😉

Yup, at this time of year, To Trick or To Treat, that is definitely the question.  And every time you dress, it’s throwing on just a little something extra that’s in the spirit of the season (if not dressing entirely Halloween-style, at least in SL).  This time, a little winged and horned headband adds that sense of Halloween to an otherwise totally sensible and oh-so-wearable two-piece outfit with such lovely little details — not just the subtly striped texture of the white shirt or the plaid of the skirt or the optional contrasting tone of the sash, but the way the fabric wrinkles on the lower arms and across the legs when you move. It’s been a whirlwind week of unpacking boxes, sorting through inventory, putting together looks, figuring out sets, scouting locations, selecting final images, writing posts, putting up blogs, and repeat, that I finally collapsed and took a day off for a whirlwind day of real life activity.  I NEVER would have thought that “this little blog” would sometimes require more work and attention than a RL home and business!!! Wow, it’s been a whole year since I started this blog. So much has changed in that time, and as I look back over my portfolio of images, I can see that not only have my pix gotten better, but I’ve also begun to develop a style of my own.  I can only hope to continue to grow the more I work and pay attention and learn and develop my skills. I’m also thrilled to be getting additional sponsors, my newest being Designer Circle — which happens to be one of my favorite events, so it’s a real feather in my cap for me.  It’s a bit late though, since we’re already entering the 2nd and final week of this round, so I’m featuring three products from the event in this one blog.
