I may or may not have mentioned this before, but I read a lot. I always have, even as a kid.  One book that has I’ve always remembered from those childhood days of reading is “Ozma of Oz”, in particular the part about this princess who had a whole collection of detachable heads, that she could choose to wear depending on her mood.  There have been many times in my Second Life — especially since I’ve started blogging — when I’ve felt a bit like that princess, putting heads on and off, sometimes just to blog, sometimes because it has the right “look “, and sometimes because I’m in love.  I think I’ve fallen in love… again.  Willow is just so beautiful, it’s hard not to, although I’ve been thoroughly loving my other LOGO head.  I’m torn between them, but like Princess Langwidere (and yes, I had to look her name up!), we’re lucky in SL because we can easily exchange our heads to see if a new head speaks more to who we feel ourselves to be, how we want to project ourselves to the rest of the world.  IMHO, Willow is a knockout just as she is.  But of course she’s fully modifiable, so you can make any tweaks you like to customize her into an even more unique YOU.  Personally, I may not be taking this head off for a while (though keep watching for tweaks in the days ahead lol)! So after months of frustration and increasing aggravation, followed by weeks of not-always-so-patient waiting, my new desktop computer has finally arrived!  BUT (and it’s a big but!) it turns out that although I made sure I had an extra monitor for doing the big transfer, I failed to check that I had an extra keyboard.  So although the computer is sitting here, I can’t actually turn it on until I go in to work tomorrow where I can borrow an extra keyboard for the duration of the transition.  (As it turns out, my extra monitor has the wrong connections for the new computer, but my existing computer can take it, so a little switcheroo is in order there too.) Soooo unfair, but I managed to get this “last” photo shoot done with a minimum of crashing.  Hopefully (fingers crossed!), once all is done and everything is up and working, the new computer will sail through all the freezing and other issues I’ve been experiencing for months now.  All I have to do is hang on… then full speed ahead! In the meantime, happy shopping!

• Head:  LOGO – Mae.  Also wearing the included Mae eyes (the HUD lets you choose the color).  I’ve made a few tweaks to the included shape, but I’ll be honest… I made very few, relatively small tweaks.  The head shape just didn’t need it & what I did do was for thoroughly subjective reasons. As part of my personal end-of-year evaluation, I decided to make some changes to my sponsor line-up.  A few are gone, and I’ve taken on some new challenges.  One of them is LOGO, a line of bento heads that I’ll admit has completely blown me out of the water.  I thought it would be interesting to blog heads; I thought it would be challenging, since the idea is to show the head at its best as it’s provided, not to make it look like ME.  What I did NOT expect was to be bowled over.

There are two parts to the LOGO system. The HUDs for customizing and animating your head and the heads themselves. The HUDs are a separate purchase but you only need to buy them once, they work with all the LOGO bento heads. There is just so much to these heads. Yes, they’re fabulous looking, each in its own distinctive way — which in itself is really different, since the heads from so many designers look like variations of each other.  But to me, what really sets this line apart are its customization HUDs. That’s right — both the head HUD (skin, makeup, brows, tattoos, hairbase, eyes) & the animations HUD can be customized.  Honestly I’m still playing with it, but you can add new things to it, you can customize animations by mixing and matching, there’s just so much you can do to make each head your own unique YOU.  I’m showing you the starting point… where you go from here is totally up to you.  Another thing I totally love?  A little “AO Neutral”, which is a 60 second animation override that you can wear and just run continuously to give your character a little bit of subtle facial and head movements.   It’s low-script and runs with your your regular AO.  Did I mention I was blown away?  Why not grab a demo and start playing?

• Skin & Shape:  LOGO – Naomi, worn in Blossom, together with the Naomi shape which is specifically made for the Mae head.  Once again, I’m showing Naomi “as is”…  all I did was choose from options for such things as brow color & of course modify the body to my own shape; I didn’t even change the makeup, even though options were included.  Skin includes both applier & BOM versions. 
• Top:  MOZ Designs – NEW! Crop Hoodie.   Perfect casual little top with all those perfect little details like contrast coloring inside the hood & on the dangling strings.  Available in 3 fatpacks of solids or graphics, or a Superpack that includes all options.
