Just like in Real Life, some times an outfit looks and feels different on your body than it does “on the hanger”… this is definitely one of those times. When I first saw it, I thought it was pretty… when I actually put it on, I was blown away. I can’t seem to find the words to explain how it makes me feel, and I won’t even attempt to figure out why. Maybe it’s the fit, maybe it’s the style, maybe it’s the hair, maybe it’s the combination… who knows, and frankly, who cares.  All I know is that I’m getting lots of positive comments about my outfit and I just haven’t felt like changing… which is definitely NOT good for a blogger lol!  Definitely one that will be worn till it needs to go into the wash!!! 😉

I simply LOVE this time of year. There’s a snap in the air, my boots are back in the closet (if not quite on my feet, but soon!), and here in SL, things are really heating up! I really wonder sometimes how the designers keep coming up with such wonderful creations, but this month their creative juices are just overflowing! There are so many wonderful things to blog, I’m actually finding that my creativity is being stimulated just by virtual contact!! How many times have I thought “yes, this is it!”, the head I’ve waited for, the best skirt, the best hair designer, the best this, the best that. The answer is countless, and I’m sure it will continue to be so in the future. Because yes, I have once again, broken several promises to myself. I have (a) bought another head… and yes, once again, I feel that THIS IS THE ONE! I adored Sandy, but Athena takes my look two steps further, with eyes that are more slanted and lips that are fuller, both of which were on my wish list.  And although I promised myself to cut back on hair, there’s an amazing sale at Argrace, with every single hair on sale for 100L per color from Sept 1-10, so yes, I (b) splurged on quite a few photographic styles like this one.  As for my outfit, when it’s MOZ mix ‘n’ match, I always wonder how I’ve never put it together before quite like this, because how could I have missed out on this look!?! Ultimate Chicken Horse?

I’m a city girl, born and bred, but that doesn’t mean I don’t sometimes hear the call of the country life.  Not only that, but I will admit to actually having decent skills on horseback thanks to all those many summers as a kid.  One of the many beauties of Second Life is that I can heed that call without actually traveling, getting dirty, or setting my allergies completely crazy… and I can do so looking absolutely amazing thanks to a bunch of western-influenced styles from Mo at Moz Designs.  Hmmm, maybe I even have time to saddle up and ride off into the sunset before I need to log… course, I first need to get this chicken out of here 😉

OK, logically I know we need the rain, and sometimes a rainy day can be incredibly enjoyable, but NOT when the weatherman predicts sunny skies. In my time, I’ve had a lot of extra cups of coffee waiting it out, but — and how’s this for a segue? — I rarely look as good as in this amazingly soft-looking, flowy, remarkably feminine jumpsuit. Yes, the cut of the top is great, the sheer fabric in the middle adds undeniable sex appeal, the color choices are wonderful (15 solids, plus the pattern I’m wearing in 5 colors) but it’s the way the bottoms have such natural-looking folds that really makes this jumpsuit special. Unfortunately, though, it can’t stop the rain…

Grrrr… I’m a klutz, inworld and out, always banging into things and tripping. Of course inworld I don’t have to worry about getting food all over my clothes (which I’m a total expert at in RL lol)… which would have been a REAL shame with this awesomely sexy dress. The black lace top is so well-designed, it ALMOST hides my nipples (you have to look really really close though to see them); the HUD not only changes the color of the incredibly well-fitting skirt, but also the matching finishing touches — the band at the neck and the cuffs at the wrist, as well as the shoes.  And OMG, the SHOES… these are to DIE FOR heels… so glad I didn’t step in anything LOL!

Trying new things can sometimes be confusing, be exciting, be frustrating, and/or so many other possibilities… but one thing is pretty standard: it’s exhausting.  I’ve been trying all kinds of new things lately… entering not one but two (and maybe even three!) photo contests is just one of them.  I’ve always avoided contests of all kinds, always certain I’d never win and therefore embarrassed to even try. But I finally realized something… a contest is not about winning (though don’t get me wrong, I’d of course love to win lol!), it’s about striving, it’s about participation, it’s about stretching yourself even just a little bit further than you already do.  And that is, yes, mentally exhausting (and depending on the stretch, possibly physical as well). Wow, I need a cigarette break! (Not that I smoke in RL any more lol!)

As for this all new outfit that’s EXCLUSIVELY for those of us who wear the awesome Tonic bodies, all I can say is double-Wow! Pairing the shimmery silk elegance of the blouse and its four levels of sheer (I’m wearing it on high sheer with a bra underneath) with the rich leather sheen of the mini skirt with its strappy thigh slit (in 16 luscious colors!) is a brilliant combo… and I absolutely fell over when I saw these amazing wedges which also have 16 colors that can be mixed and matched together for all kinds of looks.  For me, they were absolutely the perfect finishing touch!

I don’t usually wear, let alone blog, free outfits because in all honesty, they generally just don’t look that good.  Featured in FabFree, this lovely little outfit is a notable exception. With an Omega top (10 colors in the HUD) and a cute flouncy little skirt that, yes, comes in Tonic, it’s worth joining the group (it’s free!) to get this stunner of a free group gift. The shoes are free too — a gift from N-Core at the Tres Chic Anniversary Event.  So stop lazing around, and get into shopping mode!
