OMG, selling a house in these times is EXHAUSTING.  On the good side, houses where we live are moving waaaaaay faster than they used to.  Last year, when we first started planning for this, we expected it to take up to six months. Now we’re being told it will be just a matter of weeks.  But what we didn’t realize was what that meant in terms of showing the house.  Yesterday alone we had 8 showings.  And since we’re not allowed to be “in” the house (we can be in the backyard) and we currently have two big dogs here (one who is a rambunctious 9-month-old 80-lb pitbull puppy), it means sitting in the backyard with two dogs on leashes or dragging them off for yes, another walk.  So far, today will be an off day with only two showings scheduled, but we’re being told to prepare for an onslaught over the weekend.  We’re going to need a vacation after this lol!  I’ve barely had time to go inworld what with all the prep, cleaning, and avoiding being inside, but some outfits just demand to be blogged, no matter what! Well, I’m back from vacation and ready to ride!  Had an amazing time, feel refreshed & renewed, made a HUGE life-altering choice (we bought a house!), and am already back at work blogging (though I’m a bit rusty… I accidentally knocked off my freckles and forgot to put them back on!!!!). What’s nice about taking a vacation is that even a little break makes what was starting to feel a bit like a chore is now fun again… You’ll be seeing lots of new things going forward as I’ve added some new sponsors over the past weeks, and will definitely be blogging for various seasonal, fund-raising events throughout the fall and winter.  Can’t wait to see what all the designers create, and what I come up with to show them off!  And of course it’s fall, my favorite season, so lots of fun ahead!   • Outfit:  YoU by GeMyles – Millee Top, Jeans & Heels.  This is a slightly older style from GeMyles, but its look is all new!  To me, it’s a sexy stylish take on duds for a motorcycle babe.  The jeans are tight, low-hung & belted, with a 10-texture HUD & great detailing on the back pockets; the leather top is unbelted, unbuttoned, backless, & held on by only the thinnest of belts which is connected to the back of the neck by another thin belt.  The high heels are probably not the best choice for motorcycle riding, but they look so amazing, who’s worried about accidents?  After all, it’s SL! Feeling good

Wow, it feels like a page has turned, and a new chapter has begun! We got great news at the cardiologist yesterday, things are really REALLY progressing, with lots of restrictions easing up.  I no longer have to be the strict caregiver; I was even able to hand over the keys to his car and set him free from the house.  Life is returning (slowly) back to almost-normal as there’s still a long road to full recovery ahead, but all that stress I’ve been carrying around is finally starting to let go.  The relief is palpable. To celebrate, I did a bit of a makeover inworld as well… a new head that I absolutely adore and a lightening up of my sponsors so that I can go back to enjoying the blogging life rather than being stressed by too many deadlines.  It feels wonderful!!!!

  • Outfit:  YoU by GeMyles – Ashley Side Tied Dress & Boots.  Incredibly sexy, without going over the top.  I feel so good wearing this (& from the feedback I’m getting, I’m looking pretty good too lol)! Includes a 32-color HUD, so no matter what your sexy feels like, there’s a color to fit! Sized for Slink H/P & Maitreya.
  • Head:  Akeruka (AK) – Cleo, a beautiful new bento head from AK.  I’ve never worn an AK head before, but Cleo is currently being offered as a group gift for 1L until June 20th. I first demo’d some of the other heads, & really liked several of them as well as the accompanying HUDs & the animations (LOVE the smile). Cleo was so pretty & just so aligned with how I’ve always envisioned ME, I figured it was worth the 150L group join. I’m SOOO happy I did, because I fell in love with her & the included skin immediately, before I even started tweaking.  (There’s also a gift skin on MP for 1L that gives a slightly different but equally great look.) If I was an official AK blogger, I’d be doing a closeup showing you how awesome she looks straight out of the box.  As it is, I hesitated blogging about her at all because I kind of want to keep her all to myself!!!!
