It’s always refreshing to find a clothing style that you’ve never seen before.  That’s why Original Mesh is so exciting… instead of an artfully done imagining of a “body”  or a “clothing cut”, it’s something brand new, something you’ve never seen (or tried on) before.  The style of this dress immediately wowed me the moment I saw it.  the crisscross of the cardigan underneath the chest with a tie in the back, over a lovely sundress is just so different from anything I’ve seen on the grid.  I held my breath when I tried it on, with fingers crossed that it would look as good on my body as it did on the hangar as it were.  Amazingly, it looks even better than I had imagined!  Perfect for the early spring, as the weather is changing and you want to move into those “lighter” outfits, but need to still protect against that chill in the air.  This is a dress NOT to miss!!!! So this post is way late for the weekend sales from last week, due to an absolutely horrible head cold with a clogged ear that made it almost impossible to sit at the computer for any length of time (let alone have an eye for doing a shot!), a weird glitch with FlickR where NO GROUPS would show (turns out it was due to an AdBlocker, who knew?), and just a messy real life in general.   EVERYTHING IS STILL AVAILABLE, just not at the sale price, but the items are just so awesome and I really love the setting I created, that I still just had to share.

Somehow it seems that when I’m thinking that maybe blogging is just too much “work” with insufficient returns, I select an outfit like this one.  I know I’ve written about this before, but it’s just so truly impactful when it happens, that I’m left a bit dazed. I’m talking about when an outfit TAKES OVER, almost what I think being possessed might feel like lol… where IT dictates what works with what, till suddenly my fae looks up and bam! there’s a unique character with a distinct personality, or at least, a distinct attitude.  It’s so totally invigorating, it re-kindles those blogging embers and truly makes me want to do justice to the outfit that inspired me.  Whether I manage to achieve that or not, well, that’s a whole other matter!  But IMHO, it’s the act of inspiration that is really important.  And this lovely fantasy outfit successfully got that fire roaring!  May we all find that inspiration in everything we do!  Happy shopping!

Things have been a bit frustrating of late, on the grid and off.   Crashing, teleport fails, rezzing in to HUDs having reset (really a pain for a blogger with HUDs for every clothing item — sometimes even faces on a single item, makeup, hair, jewelry, shoes)… it can be a lot.  And yes, I TRY to write down every choice I make (“try” being the operative word).  On FlickR, views are way down for some reason, which in turn affects faves and awards… all the things a blogger needs to satisfy current and prospective sponsors, not to mention keeping their own spirits and confidence up.  IRL, our cable has been acting up, impacting our streaming channels the most, but sometimes the internet as well (more blogging stress).  And I wish that was all, but  that said, sometimes you just have to put your chin up and your shoulders back, toss your hair, check your nails, and remind yourself that “you got this”.  Seriously, though, I DO have to give myself that little pep talk to boost my confidence both in SL and IRL more often than I would like, but also more often than not, it DOES work.  Remember… you got this!  See you at the stores!

It’s only 9:30A and it’s already one of those days. I guess it has to happen sometimes, but it’s just not fun.  That said, my mind is a blur, I’m on edge, and time is disappearing while I wait for call-backs, etc.  Perfect timing for this photo! Feeling like myself again…

OK, well once the excitement of the “new me” (new head, new body, new skin) wore off, I realized that it really didn’t feel like ME.  I’ve changed looks, heads and bodies so many times in my 16+ years in SL that I’ve lost track, but when I watch a slideshow of my life (yes, there’s one running all the time on my porch lol) it just seems like a natural progression, of a maturing look.  This last look veered off into territory that I THOUGHT I wanted, but when it came right down to it, I just didn’t sit right. So, I mark it as a failed experiment, and have gone back to my “old” well-loved head but with a few tweaks to capture a bit of what attracted me to the new one… will they last, only time will tell.  The body, on the other hand, I’m keeping (though my lack of shoes is both annoying and getting expensive lol), but again with modifications… I was never a “skinny mini” but I’m not comfortable being as full-blown as my first “final shape” was either.  There’s definitely an art to sculpting the “right look”, with “right” being defined by what strikes that inner chord and makes you feel amazing.  And of course as a blogger, I’m constantly tweaking that shape to better show an outfit or to use a pose (arms and hands are constant issues lol)… it should only be so easy in real life lol!  So, the newly re-improved Ceja is finally done (again), and can relax and enjoy that cup of coffee… and then maybe do some shopping? Till the next time!

Snow is so magical, at least when it’s newfallen and unspoiled.  Even though I live in the land of eternal summer (both my fae home & IRL), I am still enchanted by it.  That hush and quiet (until the snowblowers start at least), that beautiful stillness which can occur…  imagine having that at your command, to make everything still and clean and white, untouched, “pure as the driven snow…”
