Well, Fridays are notoriously (at least in my head) bad for making a post, but (A) I’m finding that traffic on Flickr is way down, so timing of posts doesn’t seem to make much of a difference anyway, (B) I can leave much of the “marketing” of my post for tonight/tomorrow, when more people will hopefully see it, and (C) doing my taxes has taken over all my “spare” time and everything else has just been being pushed.  This post got caught in the time squeeze, and April is going to be a tough month for me — on top of my normal requirements, it’s Fantasy Faire time, which is my favorite blog event of the year but it eats EVERYTHING… and on top of that, I’m going away for a few days.  Bottom line, wine is definitely called for!!!

Living in Florida, I do miss fall in NY, all the colors and that crunch of leaves underfoot, that small bite of chill starting to enter the breeze once the sun goes down… What I DON’T miss is the raking… my hands hurt just at the thought of it!  And although I gave up rolling around doing angels in the pile of leaves long long ago, leaving that to the kids and pets, here in SL it just seemed a perfect way to show my love of the season.  Clean-up is just so easy lol!!! It’s so refreshing to put on pants in a summer of dress and shorts outfits.  And this is the PERFECT summer pants set! Just like in real life, I struggle a bit with swimwear.  Even with a perfect body (and we all have our own definitions of perfect, but whatever that is, it’s easily achievable in SL with a bit of work!), not all bathing suits are flattering.  I fell for this bikini the moment I put it on… it’s sexy and small, but adequately covers everything that I want covered, and just looks amazing!!!  If you’re looking for a new swimsuit (or even if you’re not), go try it on and see how it looks on YOUR body!  Happy shopping!

I don’t really have a lot to say to the world today… real life has been frustrating, mostly due to the confinement of wearing a surgical boot on my driving foot.  That feeling of being trapped and helpless and dependent on other people together with the physical side of hobbling around is depressing and exhausting in all kinds of ways.  SL has been a fabulous escape, except that it requires hours of sitting in one position at a computer, which is VERY hard to do while keeping one leg elevated… and that poor other leg is swelling and having issues from having to take all the weight (literally)… But in the grand scheme of things, it’s all minor indeed… just a few weeks and then it will fade into the past…  In the meantime, though, it’s me and my PC and my blogging…  Enjoy!

I’ve been dressed in this outfit for several days now, but was struggling for inspiration as to how to shoot her.  More and more of Flickr seems to be full of (A) women just wanting to flaunt their tits or (B) bloggers just standing in front of a background that has absolutely no connection to what they’re blogging.   I’ve always been drawn more to pix that tell a story, that set a scene, that just “do more.”  Yes, I do plenty of what I consider “throw away shots”, when I just want to get it done; sometimes those actually come out way better than I expected, sometimes they don’t.   I needed inspiration, and was floundering…  Then I saw that Frogmore has reopened its doors, and I just couldn’t resist dashing over to stroll through its latest iteration, hoping that the creativity was somehow contagious.  I honestly didn’t make it that far before I came across this little flower shop… and bam!! there was my spark!  I could envision the smells from all the blooms, and yes, even though daisies have no scent, their pure simplicity resolved my overthinking the shot (something I am definitely prone to!)  I know I’ll be back soon to wander and explore and be inspired by the rest of this amazing creation!
