Let me say it right here, I’m not much of a cook these days. But I do love to bake.  I resist the urge more often than not because I eat up all that fresh-baked goodness and without sliders in RL I’m not happy with the results lol, but when I saw this pose set, I just couldn’t resist THAT urge. OK, I love snow, I love winter, but seriously, enough is enough. I’ve had a cold now, or winter allergies, or whatever for WEEKS now (all I know is that I’m going through tissues at an alarming rate) and it’s time… I’m ready for spring!!!  Of course the calendar doesn’t agree with me, and there’s tons of winter weather ahead, but at least I have a few days in Florida to look forward to next month when I go down for my mom’s birthday. Right now I’ll cozy up to the fire, stamp my little foot, and scream ENOUGH to the universe as it continues to give me more snow and freezing winds… but I’m looking so good doing it here in SL (much better than in RL lol)… 😉

I remember when I was a kid and I never knew what I was getting as gifts for the holidays.  Sometimes my sister and I would peek into the unwrapped boxes if we’d find them, but we’d always get things wrong. Nowadays, it’s rare that I’m surprised because I’m always asked to provide the dreaded list, while the fact is, if it’s something that I REALLY want, I’ve already gone out and bought it. Frankly I’d rather just be told here’s X amount of money; go out and spend it; which, when you come to think of it, is what gift cards are all about. It’s like Santa taking you shopping lol!  (though he generally doesn’t wait sullenly in the car!)  😉

I LOVED this outfit the moment I saw it. It’s just all about balance, which is so important, in ALL aspects of life. Somehow to me, this look evokes a sense of the past while being very on target with present fashion. The white texture — which stays constant — is wonderfully detailed; the choice of blues can make getting dressed a bit difficult (this one, no this one, no no maybe this one)!  The way it crosses at both the chest and at the hips/legs is extremely flattering, sexy while totally maintaining a level of class.  Thankfully, it’s Second Life and I don’t have to worry about staying warm! 😉
